Royalty Contest
Those wishing to compete must be a “member in good
standing” and complete the attached entry form and return to the Royalty
Committee Chairperson by the due date listed on the entry form. The Royalty
contest will be held at the Annual Awards Banquet. The contest will consist of
a personal interview with judge’s panel (50 point scale). One individual from
each category will be selected based on total score.
The Royalty contest is designed to recognize
individuals possessing characteristics that positively reflect the
organization. A contestant cannot hold a given Royalty position for more than
two consecutive years unless there are no other applicants for the position. Winning contestants will receive a new Royalty
Sash. The Royalty crowns will be turned
over to the care of the newly crowned Royalty at a coronation ceremony at the
conclusion of the Banquet. Should a
crown be lost, the Royalty responsible for the loss will pay replacement
cost. Crowns requiring replacement
arising from wear and tear will be purchased by the Royalty Committee. The King/Queen
crown shall be larger than the Prince/Princess crown. While encouraged, it is
optional for an MVR Queen to compete in the WSCA queen’s contest. The WSCA Queen competition has its own rules
