To qualify for membership
in the Minnesota Valley Riders, Inc.
one horse must be owned or leased within the family. Members are encouraged to
participate in and volunteer their time for all club activities.
Membership Code of Conduct:
(Violation of any of the
following conduct rules may be cause for the Board of Directors to refuse or
revoke membership in the Minnesota Valley Riders Inc. at any time.)
1.
No member shall act or behave in such a manner as to bring discredit upon
him/herself or the Minnesota Valley
Riders, Inc.
2. Members shall be respectful, courteous and
civil with other members and shall not use coarse, profane or insolent language
toward any individual member or any other saddle club.
3. Members shall be respectful, courteous and
civil with all club officers.
4. Members carrying out functions of this saddle
club or participating in functions of other saddle clubs shall direct and
coordinate all efforts in such a manner as will tend to establish and maintain
the highest standard of efficiency and good relations.
5.
Any member selected to be a delegate to the W.S.C.A. shall vote and carry on
that business which they have been instructed to do by the club as a
whole. The vote of the delegate shall be
the feeling of the club and not the individual.
6.
The Board of Directors shall serve as
the Grievance Board. Any member or
members having a just grievance shall present such grievance to the board.
Requirements for Members in Good Standing:
1. New members applying for membership must attend a minimum
of two meetings prior to submitting their membership application. If unable to attend two meetings per year either
due to some hardship or other restriction the member may apply, in writing, to
the board for a waiver.
2. New applicants will be notified of membership
acceptance or denial.
3. Renewing members must attend a
minimum of two meetings per membership year (membership year is November through October).
4. Only members in good standing will be eligible for year-end points and awards.
