About MVR

The club was formed in 1964 when fellow horse enthusiasts got together and established the Minnesota Valley Riders Saddle Club (MVR). In those days they organized numerous trail rides. By 1967 MVR held its first Memorial Day horse show, a club tradition that has grown in popularity and continues to this day.

In 1974, MVR joined the Mid-State Association as well as the Western Saddle Club Association (WSCA). Over the years, MVR has established a long-standing tradition of its members representing the club in local, regional and state competitions as well as serving as WSCA Royalty.

Today, MVR has over 75 members and continues its tradition of family-oriented activities for its members including trail rides, potlucks, fund-raisers, hay-rides, Belle Plaine's Annual BBQ Days parade and exhibition show, and Spring and Fall Fun Shows. Each January MVR holds its annual awards banquet in recognition of the past year's achievements and to enjoy the fellowship of its members both young and old alike.

If you'd like to consider joining MVR, contact us or attend a meeting for more information. Attendance at two meetings and a completed Membership Application are required to join.
